The WA Games Industry Council, formerly known as Let's Make Games WA, is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to revolutionising the gaming sector in Western Australia.

Our new identity, WAGIC, reflects our commitment to elevating the region's gaming industry to unprecedented heights. Our focus is on showcasing local talent, products, services, and celebrating the accomplishments of our vibrant gaming community.

Promoting Local Talent and Products
Elevating Western Australia's Gaming Industry
Strengthening the Industry's Foundations

Originally formed in 2009 as a group for local game developers to connect and share their passion for games under the name Let’s Make Games (LMG), it became incorporated as a non-profit association in 2011. After more than 14 years of uniting the WA games industry with community-focused events, the association is en route to becoming bigger and better than ever under new leadership and a new name.

WAGIC is excited to announce its continued growth, leveraging the strong foundation and engaged community cultivated over the years. With the addition of new committee members bringing fresh perspectives, the organisation is poised to capitalise on the momentum generated by the highly successful inaugural WA Games Week held last September.

The WA Games Industry Council is Western Australia’s representative body for video game developers and people in the games and game-adjacent industries. Supporting local game studios and developers while informing institutional and government decisions affecting the industry, WAGIC represents a vital part of a global industry that has grown steadily over the last decades.

- Strengthen and sustain the games industry in Western Australia by facilitating networking, knowledge exchange, mentorship, and encouraging cross-sector partnerships.

From the Community.

“Fantastic event and really well organised. I'd love to see an even bigger event next yeah with the PGF side potentially running over a couple of days at the same time as the talks with breaks in between the talks for people to go play games, similar to PAX.”

Loved WA Games Week, can't wait to see it grow over time. It was like a mini MIGW on my doorstep. Keep it up!

The inaugural WAGW was fantastic and I'm looking forward to the next one :)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! This was an incredible thing for Perth and I have faith that over time it will only continue to build.

Save time, while you save money.
