About

Originally formed in 2009 as a group for local game developers to connect and share their passion for games under the name Let’s Make Games (LMG), it became incorporated as a non-profit association in 2011. After more than 14 years of uniting the WA games industry with community-focused events, the association is en route to becoming bigger and better than ever under new leadership and a new name.

WAGIC is excited to announce its continued growth, leveraging the strong foundation and engaged community cultivated over the years. With the addition of new committee members bringing fresh perspectives, the organisation is poised to capitalise on the momentum generated by the highly successful inaugural WA Games Week held last September.

The WA Games Industry Council is Western Australia’s representative body for video game developers and people in the games and game-adjacent industries. Supporting local game studios and developers while informing institutional and government decisions affecting the industry, WAGIC represents a vital part of a global industry that has grown steadily over the last decades.
